Responsibilities:
- Support our drilling operations in order to ensure drilling programsare executed safely, on time and within budget
- Drive technical innovation and design options to improve safety, efficiency and cost
- Conduct reviews of offset wells and historical drilling practices to evaluate new ideas and drilling techniques
- Study, recommend, and apply new technologies that could help optimize drilling performance
- Ensure all required reporting is accurate
- well program is complete and accurate
- well performace data is tracked daily and properly distributed.
- Ensure well AFE's are raised in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide field support to the rig on program implementation.
- Supervise and control work execution to ensure plans are achievable.
- Plan and put in place contingencies and solutions for expected drilling problems such as well stability, lost circulation, stuck pipe…etc.
- Assist with management of drilling contracts
- Ensure timely submission of drilling Tender Proposals for services or products to comply with Tender Committee process.
- Prepares Scope of Work, tender evaluation, criteria, tender list for tendering and contracting of all associated services and Drilling materials.
- Analyze all contractors performance and recommend changes when needed.
- Communicate effectively, treat all employees and contractors with respect, promote safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
Essential Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering preferred).
- 8 - 10 years of overall drilling experience with an IOC
- minimum of 5 years’ onshore drilling field experience
- experience with deviated and horizontal wells would be an advantage
- Good technical knowledge of well operations.
- Experienced in advising on technical problems, supervision, planning, scheduling and reviewing work of professional engineers and technicians
- HSE knowledge especially with HAZOP method
- Familiar with well control techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations applicable to drilling work
- knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for Well Operations.
- Familiar with EGPC and JV policies, guidelines, and procedures on drilling matters.
- Knowledge on well completion work would be an advantage.
- General knowledge of geology and reservoir engineering.

Reporting Relationship:
- This position reports directly to the Deputy Drilling/Workover General Manager
