Director of Finance

Job Description : Areas of Responsibility/Tasks:
1-Assists in performing all tasks necessary to help staff succession and growth plan. Maintains and improves productivity of each department by motivating, training, developing and evaluating his staff.
2-Works with the President/EVP on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships as well as assisting in development and negotiation of contracts. Supervises banking affairs and develops strategies for the provision of funds needed for operations and disposition of idle funds so as to generate the maximum return on investment.
3-Participates in developing new business- specifically: Assists EVP in identifying new funding opportunities, prospective programmatic budgets and determining cost effectiveness of prospective future business expansion.
4-Manages and trains finance staff to maintain and improve awareness and knowledge of financial management matters. Participates in the development and implementation of group administrative policies and procedure in conjuction with HR & Admin Director.
5-Monitors actual cash inflow and outflows against approved cash forecasts. Analyzes cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide business leaders and pinpoint weak areas.
6-Oversees the management and coordination of all reporting activities for the group including the preparation of financial statements, reports, special analysis and specific financial reports required by stakeholders. Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the group.
7-Provides the group with an operating budget. Interacts with managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports and recommendations.
8-Ensures proper and up-to-date maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with SCOPA and GAAP. Prepares periodic financial statements and reviews the status of Management Information Reports, timely provision of information by operating departments for incorporation in accounting records prior to closure of books.
9-Directs and oversees all the financial of the group including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecast for future business growth in accordance with BSC, EVP and BOD directions
10-Identifies and monitors CSIs (Critical Success Indicators) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) for Finance Departments within the group. Institutes a system of internal checks and control for the protection of the Group's Assets and oversees their utilization in order to prevent unauthorized use, misappropriation, wastage and damages.
11-Develops procedures and guidelines for the exercise of financial control over resources employed in the performance of procurement, inventory, production, personnel, Information & Technology, Financial & Administrative Functions
12-Perform other tasks assigned by VP, Finance & System.
