Job description :
o To participate in putting a plan for purchasing, logistics, and supply chain aligned with the goals of the company.
o Will be in charge of the local purchases.
o Will be in charge of contacting the factories abroad to place orders as received from the sales department or as required and make sure that the order received in our local warehouse in Egypt on time as per the order issued.
o To follow with the processing of the order from the date of the purchase order, dispatch, shipping, custom clearance, trucking, checking and warehousing.
o To be in charge of communicating the local import company and coordinate with them to get the goods shipped till they are received in our local warehouse.
o To be in charge of contacting the factories to get the necessary documents required for shipping and clearing the goods from the customs.
o To handle the accounts payable to the factories abroad as well as the local vendors.
o To coordinate with other departments in the company to get the goods delivered to the customers as per their official orders in the time specified in the order.
o To manage the multi warehousing system in the company.
o To ensure that adequate stock-holdings are always available for technicians.
o To make analysis on the movement of items, and to decide which parts to be ordered considering the factory lead time.
o To ensure and maintain an effective and timely order management and acknowledgement system - determine the ROP, ROQ, Lead Time, Open balance, number of orders.
o To manage the warehouse operatives on a day-to-day basis and to ensure they are sufficiently trained to ensure stock accuracy.
o To manage and carry out regular stock takes.
o Producing regular reports on stock usage and availability.
o To ensure all administration is complete for each job commenced. To be flexible with the working patterns as and when required
o Have the ability to make judgement calls/decisions based on your experience within the industry. All other decisions to be authorized by a Director
o To deliver excellent service
o To undertake any training provided by the company
o To liaise with relevant departments to ensure continuity
o Provide suggestions for improvement of practices within the Company
o To plan and organize your own daily work
o To support any business change for the benefit of the company.
Skills and Competencies:
o Perfect English is a must. German is an option.
o Very good computer skills – word, excel (advanced level), PowerPoint, Internet.
o Having an experience dealing with ERP software.
o Creative and analytical thinking.
o The candidate should have a BSc degree.
o The candidate should have at least 1-3 years of experience in a multinational organization.
o The candidate will report to the senior accountant.
o The candidate will be based in Cairo office and will be asked to go our branch in Hurghada occasionally.
